Fall is here!
Some of our antiques...
and primitives...
The other fri. us sister had a wonderful day together. Gina had off of school and mom watched the store for jenni and me. Little cody went with us. First we went to the local pumpkin patch. Its a really neat place where we took lots of pictures, got a apple cider slushie and pumpkin cookies, and jenni bought some pumpkins. There selection of pumpkins, gourds, etc. is just outragous...any color, shape, or size you wish for.
After the pumpkin patch, we were on our way to the big city to do some shopping. I dont think i was ever at the mall as long as we were that day. Cody got a bottle when we got there and it was about time for another one when we left. He gets one every 3 hrs so...yea you kind of get the idea.=)

Its a boy!
I made a diaper bag for Jenni. It still needs a little flap thing on top to close it. She picked out the fabric and i sewed it. Id like to make somemore now that i kinda have an idea of how it goes together.
Right now my project at the store is sewing cluth purses. We still have some on the shelf but jenni got this new fabric that we never made them in before so i wanted to get that out. My project before that was hotpads...first time pattern for that too but i was impressed with how they turned out. Like i said...i wish i would have pics. They always help say better what im trying to explain. Well, i dont have all night to wait on the computer so i'll try to post those pictures later...hopefully before too long!

Pictures
I had alot of fun painting that red ladder. Jenni bought some red paint and we went a little red-happy. She painted the old tool box. Its amazing how some paint can give something a total new look. This is our summer/shabby chic area (one of my favorites). Jenni and i made that top quilted americana throw. The other one was made my jenni's mother-in-law. These little girls' dresses are way to cute. I'll brag all i want because jenni made them all. I just did the ironing on some of them. They're so light and summer-y. Such fun!Talking about summer-y...heres another quilted throw jenni and i made. Each block has a flower made out of different shades of pink or brown scrapes. It adds some happy cheer where ever its placed.
Shabby chic pillow made with the 9-block pattern.I made these hotpads. Each one has a loop on one corner so they can be hung for decoration too. Its whatever you chose. We actually have a bigger selection of colors but this is the only picture i uploaded. These towel aprons are one of jenni's projects although i try to help when i can. The towel in the front is so handy because its right there when you need it...no running back and forth across the kitchen just to wipe your hands. She makes them in all colors and styles...americana, chicy, coffee, patriotic, with or without ruffles... Well, thats all for now. That was fun. Blogging might just be one of my new hobbies!
I hope you have a great holiday weekend. Be safe and have some fun. Im definitely looking forward to it. I'll be camping with friends, sooo i think theres good times ahead.
Happy 4th! Julie

Getting Started w/ our Blog!!!
We've never done anything like this before, but we always come away so inspired by other "crafty" people's blogs. Sooo....we thought it would be fun to create our own.
We are 2 sisters who have always dreamed of having a shoppe of our own. A little over a year ago that dream came true! We have a small quaint shoppe in the lovely & unique town of Arthur, IL. (it's also in the heart of IL Amish Country) God has blessed us!!!
It seems we always have more ideas than time. We love sewing, quilting, decorating, scrapbooking, and all other crafting.
We'll make this first post short & sweet. Check back w/ us in a little while to see pics. of our shoppe and some of the handmade items we have made & sell.
